The Moon in a Silver Bag, Baby
I love the ocean. And thank Lord Sri Krishna that last summer, for all its rain and chilly temperatures, gave so many blessings. Long beautiful days on endless beaches, an ocean at turns calm and massive, and sky like big beautiful eyes.
But as Yeats lamented, those dancing days are gone. And before and during said dancing days, the C-Doobie juggernaut did many a session in Manhattan’s scenic Inwood neighborhood.
The great Fred Goodman, author of hits including “We Belong to the Night” and “Hideaway” hired C-Doobie to play guitar and bass on tracks comprising his outstanding upcoming release, The Last Days of Rock ’n Roll. Engineer Harley Fine recorded us in his personal studio, as Fred directed the proceedings.
The Last Days also features May Pang, Ellen Foley (chanteuse of the aforementioned hits) and Kieran McGee, among others. [For the whole story and illustrations, click here]
